DAY 3: IN THE BEGINNING...

IN New Zealand we have many beautiful beaches and stunning waterfalls. One of the most spectacular waterfalls is called Kitekite and it is located in Piha, a small village west of Auckland. Tourists and locals flock to Piha during the summer season to enjoy the waterfall, the local beach, and the great surf.

At our school we have a pet day every year and every kid makes a pet day project. Room 6 wrote a doucumeentary and made it into a video.  We had to talk about the animal in general and write in present tense.

Hi in room 6 we have been reading a book called Refugee we have been reading Refugee for a long time now. But we have finshed the book, and it was really good.  I made a slide show about the book.

Maths

In maths we have been learning some maths problems and when we new them the teacher said we could do a slide show on our learning. Here is mine. Hope you enjoy it.

Flipgrid

In room six Miss Hahn buddied us up with a year 8 or 7 and we did an activity.   Shanika and I were buddies. The activitie we did was based on the book 'Posted' by John David Anderson.  In Flipgrid we talked about what we thought of the book.

In room 5 we made a  reading profile the first  fing we did is filling our chart. Then we made a slide we puted our golds and what we like to read and hows are favourite.

Picasso Portraits

In room 5 we did a painting. We were learning about a artist called Pablo Picasso and the painting we drew is based on his art. We watched a video that a lady was drawing. I was learning how to paint with the paint brush and mix colours.

Pukapuka

In room 5 we have beeen lerning about the Pukapuka island. We have been reading a story about Pukapuka island and geting infomation of a slide show that we read with the hole class. Here is mine and Anahera's.

Room 5 has been learning how to draw a self portrait. We learned where to positon the eyes, mouth and ears correctly. We also learned how to draw the hair and the shoulders. Here is my

What is purple

In room 5 we have been learning  to write a colour poem. First of all we got a buddy and planned it. I did mine by myself. Then we wrote our poem . When we were finished we put it on a new page and then printed it off. We drew some picture on it and made a border. Here is mine. Hope you like it.

Angle

Sophie and I worked together on this project making an angle indicator.  First of all we got a piece of orange, black and white paper. Then we glued the white onto the orange paper, then we put the black and orange paper together. We drew a line in the middle of the page and cut it. We made a screencastify to share our understanding of angles and their names, we hope you enjoy it.

In the holidays room 5 and 6 made a descriptive sentence. This is my descriptive sentence. Hope you enjoy it.

About me 2018

Room 5 made a slide show about room 5 . First we made a slide show and we put every ones about us    on  the same slide show. We wrote our own slide about  us.
